Renewable energy sources were already used thousands of years ago, what is forgotten, thinking that wind and water is an invention of modern people who are concerned about ecology. But even windmills were driven by the passing water from rivers or wind.
The Industrial Revolution in the nineteenth century, the invention of electricity, and the steam engine meant that everything was replaced by energy from coal and gas. However, after 200 years of strong use of these materials, it appears that they will be gone at any moment, and their use has led the environment to near ruin.
The economic aspect and the presence of just coal, gas or oil in some parts of the ground, force people to turn in the direction of renewable energy sources. Its use, of course, is not without consequences for nature, but it certainly is less harmful than the methods used so far. There are also institutions that make sure, that the acquisition of the energy is the least harmful to humans and wildlife.
Depending on location, there are various types of renewable energy sources used, this is RES. The use of solar energy in no way affects the ecosystem. It is enough to have the appropriate size of surface for setting solar collectors, usually this method is used in households, because the installation is not too complicated and takes up little space. In order to provide electricity to factory or large building, you need a very large surface of these batteries, which can be troublesome. The length of the insolation per year is also important, so the northern countries do not use this method.

However, coastal countries and areas benefit from wind energy. For its acquisition large wind turbines are used. Wind turbines convert the mechanical energy into electricity. But to build them, vast areas are required, are not allowed near the buildings, as environmentalists say that they destroy nature. It is necessary to prepare the ground for their construction, which means cut everything nearby out. They also are a threat to birds. Energy is also produced from building a hydroelectric power plants by rivers. The current flow is stacked, and in this way the water like the wind generates electricity. It is not very eco-friendly method.
Otherwise the situation is, when energy is produced from biomass and biogas, which is the waste, produced by poeple. Biomass is extracted from waste and gases derived from animals, as well as from the processing or combustion of remainings from processing plants, or specifically grown for this process plants such as seaweed. This creates a biofuel to power a machine, it can be made from colza or other oil plants. The least harmful to the environment, is to obtain energy from sources such as geothermal, tidal waves of the seas and oceans. Geothermal energy is extracted from inside the earth by drilling and extraction of heat from its interior. In this way, to generate power hot water or steam itself can be used.
So, as you can see, the use of nature has its great advantages, but is no without the effect on its condition. Building all types of plants using renewable energy sources must be very carefully considered and they may not be as big as nuclear power and coal, because that will change an ecosystem too much. To power large cities, it is necessary to create many smaller plants using several ways of obtaining electricity.
